Four Thirds

Case detail

Four thirds is a new-standard CCD system for next-generation digital single-lens reflex cameras, jointly developed by Olympus Corporation and Eastman Kodak Company of the United States, that assures compatibility among different makers' lenses. We developed a highly technical design for the symbol mark used to express the name Four Thirds (4/3) that would appeal to the sensibilities of the target "prosumers" (professonal consumers) without flattery.
