While creating an opportunity to introduce "Deloitte," the unified global brand of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu corporate auditing and financial consulting group, the Tohmatsu Group decided to build on the appeal of the Tohmatsu brand, which is much more familiar to Japanese than Deloitte, in its domestic market. Gramco developed a word mark in the Japanese katakana syllabary, which is seldom done these days. For the business card, for example, double name branding was conducted by displaying "Tohmatsu" on the front and "Deloitte" on the back to differentiate the Group's global and local responses.
At the end of 2010, the Tohmatsu logo was refreshed with a green dot being displayed to represent the connection between Tohmatsu and Deloitte. By introducing the new logo, the company continues to realize its promise to provide better quality services for domestic and overseas Japanese companies, as a general professional consulting firm with a global network.
